Pallets Simplified ("we", "us") is the registered business name of Graeme Devlin, ABN 98 350 094 172. We help Australian businesses keep their CHEP and Loscam equipment accounts under control. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and when you contact us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

This website itself doesn't store any personal or financial information: contact form messages go straight to our inbox and aren't saved on the site. The Client login link opens the Pallets Simplified web app, a separate system for our clients that holds account information such as contact details and invoice data. This policy covers the website, your enquiries and any free check, including the free-check data we load into the web app. Our clients' account information is handled under their client agreement.

What we collect

When you use the contact form: your name, email address and message, plus your company and phone number if you add them.
When you email or call us: whatever you choose to include, such as your contact details and information about your equipment accounts.
When you send invoices for a free check: your CHEP or Loscam invoices. These usually include account numbers, transaction and docket details, and the names of your trading partners. To run the check, we load the transaction details into the Pallets Simplified web app.
When you visit this website: anonymous visit statistics, such as which pages are viewed. These don't identify you, and we don't use tracking or advertising cookies.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, carry out a free invoice check and send you the findings, prepare a quote sized to your account, and provide our services if you become a client. We don't sell your information, and we don't add you to marketing lists.

Invoices you send for a free check

Invoices contain commercially sensitive information, so we treat everything you send in confidence:

Nobody outside Pallets Simplified sees it.
We use it only for the check and any quote that follows.
We won't contact your pooler or your trading partners about anything in it without your permission.
If you don't go ahead with us, we delete it, including the transaction details in our web app, within 30 days, or within 24 hours if you ask us to.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers to run this website, our web app and our email. Cloudflare hosts the website and our web app (including its database and backups), delivers contact form messages, runs the "verify you are human" check and provides the anonymous visit statistics. To protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes your device's IP address and may set a small security cookie that helps tell people from bots. Our email provider stores the messages and attachments you send us.

Cloudflare operates worldwide, so some information may be processed outside Australia. Our providers handle information only to deliver their services to us. We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and correspondence only as long as we need them to deal with you and to keep proper business records. Invoices sent for a free check, and the transaction details loaded from them into our web app, are deleted within 30 days if you don't go ahead with us, or within 24 hours of a request. Deleted data can remain in our system backups for up to 30 days until it's automatically overwritten. If you become a client, how we handle your account information is covered by your client agreement.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. This website and our web app only use encrypted (HTTPS) connections, the web app requires a secure login, and access to your information is limited to Pallets Simplified.

Your choices

You can browse this website without telling us who you are. You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing enquiries@palletssimplified.com.au.
